Troop Tarpon, fun activity for children in
Lighthouse Point, Florida

The Tarpon who make the Lighthouse Point Marina fuel dock waters their home have delighted our patrons for many years, young and old alike. Troop Tarpon is an organization created specifically for our younger fish friends.

Since the origination of Troop Tarpon in 2001, we have seen more than 200 children participate in the fun. Children twelve and under can be a member of Troop Tarpon for an initial fee of $20 and an annual renewal fee of $10. When a child becomes a member of Troop Tarpon, they will receive an official troop tee shirt, goody bag, membership card, and a free bag of frozen shrimp. With every return visit, the troop member can purchase frozen shrimp “fish food” at ½ off by showing their Troop Tarpon membership card to a member of our dockhouse team. Also included is free admission to the Troop Tarpon parties hosted by Lighthouse Point Marina.
